From the theses of F. D. Bobkov’s presentation: Ideological Imperialist Sabotage against the USSR and the KGB Measures against it.
This paper explains the concept of ideological sabotage, its main features, tendencies and objectives, and defines at what social groups it was aimed. The enemy secret services carried it out under the cover of various organisations, employing such methods as propaganda, disinformation and agents’ activities. To neutralise the effect of ideological sabotage, the KGB used both agents’ and operatives’ work abroad and inside the country, as well as propaganda, discrediting and prevention, i.e., the formation of public opinion, to serve its purpose.
