Operational - Technical Department of USSR KGB. The main functions of the department were listening to the conversations of the operationally investigated persons and interception of phone conversations, examination of documents ant photographs and “production of operational cover up” (falsification of documents necessary for the operatives and agents of NKVD KGB).
