In this reference, a report is presented by the KGB Interrogation Department on the prevention of conversations and inspection of operational documents, conducted in 1979 – 1987. Notes about the specificities of preventive work, shortcomings and requirements, which arose due the change of political circumstances and the Criminal Code, are provided. Recommendations are also given of how to carry out effectively the preventive work under the existing circumstances.
